Heron Beck lies a ten minute drive west from the foot of Windermere, a large Lake District holiday home, offering the perfect retreat for large groups of family and friends to gather for reunion and celebration.
For me Heron Beck is a most interesting property, well deserving the five star award. Imaginative, with many delightful details, nooks and corners, all combining to make a fantastic home in which to spend a relaxing holiday in comfort.
Semi detatched, it is set amongst low fells, close to the quaint old town of Ulverston, with cobbled streets, shops, pubs and restaurants, and a twice weekly market.
Drive north and you come to Coniston water. Set off east, where a ten minute drive brings you Newby Bridge and Lakeside, wher you can catch a steamer for a trip on Windermere.
