Nestled under the famous rocks of The Roaches between Buxton and Leek, it is ideally situated for anyone wanting a �get away from it all� location, yet in the heart of England. Roaches Hall is reached over a winding driveway through the fields and woods under the famous Hen Cloud rocks.

Roaches Hall was once the hunting abode of Sir Philip Brocklehurst. Sir Philip�s brother, Henry Courtney lived in the house and amassed a small zoo in the grounds including yaks, llamas, deer and wallabies. These later roamed freely over the Roaches before dying out in more recent years.

Now available as an exclusive retreat, the accommodation is briefly as follows:

Reception Hall
A stunning entrance hall with a high panelled ceiling and wood panelled arch. An impressive staircase leads to the first floor.

An original Thomas Crapper suite with high level WC in the most unusual of curved rooms.

Roaches Hall has two large sitting rooms. The primary sitting room has very large picture windows with extensive views to the south and west, a large wood burning stove (firewood provided) and comfy leather sofas for seating 23 people. It also has a 50� TV, with Freeview channels and DVD.

Second Sitting Room
The second sitting room has leather sofas to seat nine people plus a feature fireplace and views over The Roaches hillside. Xbox console and games.

Small Games Room
With table football and plenty of board games.

Dining Room
The wonderful Dining Room, again, has wonderful views through a pentangle window in the turret corner. It has an ornate coved ceiling and feature marble fireplace. The three dining tables seat up to 30 people on original Victorian balloon back chairs.

The kitchen at Roaches Hall is fully equipped for large parties of guests. A large Rangemaster Oven will cater for the most elaborate of dishes. Plenty of work surfaces and cupboard space. Facilities include 2 Microwaves, washer/dryer, large American style fridge freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, 6 slot toaster, copious crockery, glassware, cutlery, etc.

Bedroom 2 & 3 are on the ground floor but accessed via two steps up.

A Quad bedroom with 4 single beds and views north towards Ramshaw Rocks.

All bedrooms are fully carpeted view lovely views. Most beds have luxury handmade mattresses (only the round bed came from a different supplier) and crisp white bed linen.

With gorgeous mahogany engraved Victorian four poster bed with large windows looking south and a beautiful fireplace.

Bedroom Five
A double with large bay windows looking east and fabulous views.
Bathroom plus WC and hand basin.

Bedroom Six
A Quad room with 4 single beds, with windows looking south (extensive views).

with feature fireplace, views up onto the hill.

Roaches Hall has eight acres of fields, gardens and woodlands for you to exclusively enjoy. Fabulous walks direct from the front door. The nearest road is half a mile away, so there is no traffic for children to meet! The land adjacent to Roaches Hall is covered by right to roam legislation and therefore you have fantastic access to some of the most beautiful countryside in the Peak District National Park and, arguably, England.
